To Our Loyal Guests and Friends
To all my loyal guests and friends, the time has come to say goodbye. For 31 years I have loved running my business, meeting incredible people, many of whom have become friends. Some guests have just touched my life briefly and I am so grateful to have met you. Some guests have become life-long friends – what an absolute privilege to have you as part of my (and my family’s) life. You have all been a blessing to me, and my hope is that you found peace and tranquillity at Wilmot Cottages.
So, it is with a very sad heart, that I close the chapter on Wilmot Cottages. So begins the next chapter of Nick and my life – it will be an adventure, I am sure. I am going to need to find a new identity – my business and the Tourism Industry in Nelson Mandela Bay have been my life for so long. I do intend to remain somewhat involved, but it is definitely time for the young, energetic business owners to pick up the baton and move our beloved city forward.

Welcome To Wilmot Cottages
Wilmot Cottages is a two-unit self-catering establishment in Port Elizabeth, owned and run by Nick and Shena Wilmot.
You can hire one or both of our comfortable and affordable garden cottages:
The Cottage offers self-catering accommodation for up to four people with a double bedroom en suite full bathroom and a living room with two single beds, kitchenette, eating and living area; while the Pool Room is a studio apartment suitable for three: queen-sized bed, a single bed, en suite shower and toilet, a kitchenette and living area.
Both have access to the garden and pool.
We are also Pet Friendly

For business people, Wilmot Cottages offers free WiFi, easy access to the airport, university, business and commercial centres and varied restaurants.
For a family holiday, you have access to our spacious garden, swimming pool and kiddies’ play area. A choice of magnificent beaches and beachfront amenities are a five-minute drive away.
The newly re-vamped Boardwalk Mall is close by, as are many child-friendly eateries and grocery shops.
There’s easy access to several exciting tourist attractions, such as the Addo Elephant National Park, which can be combined in a day outing with a fun sand-surfing experience on the Sunday’s River dunes.
For the tourist, Wilmot Cottages is a ten-minute drive from the airport, with three blue flag beaches a mere five-minute drive away! Access to various ocean adventures (including whale-watching and shark-cage diving) is close by. The Humewood Links Golf Course is just a five-minute drive. And it’s only a 30-minute drive to the Addo Elephant National Park, south gate, a malaria-free home to the Big Five! The world-famous Jeffries Bay surfing beach is a 30-minute drive in the opposite direction. You’re spoilt for choice here!
